General

Do I need to make an appointment for an Estimate?

Yes, appointments are necessary to ensure an Estimator is available.

Do I have to pay for an estimate?

Estimates are generally free of charge. Charges are sometimes made where more than one estimate is required by your insurance company.

When do I book my car in for repairs?

Cars are booked in at your convenience at the time of estimating or when authorised by your insurance company.

Can I have private work carried out at the same time as insurance work?

Yes, this can be carried out at the same time - please speak to the Estimator about what you’d like done.

When do I have to collect my car after repairs have been completed?

Vehicles must be collected within 24 hours of notiification of completion unless previously agreed. After this time vehicles will be charged storage at the rate of £22.00 per day if not collected within the specified or agreed time.

Repairs

How long will my car take to repair?

Repair times vary accordingly to the job and an estimated completion date can be provided when the car is brought in

Will there be delays due to extra parts required and why were they not ordered originally?

What does it mean when parts are on back order?

Some delays are inevitable if extra parts are required from the manufacturers and at times these parts can be found to be on back order. This means that the parts are not available from the factory. Every effort is made to avoid this situation. If parts are discovered to be on back order before the vehicle comes in for repair the customer is notified and alternative book in dates are arranged

How much will my insurance repair cost?

Customers can be given the repair costs on request

How long are the repairs guaranteed?

The repairs are guaranteed for a minimum of three years and in some cases, longer

What happens if I am not satisfied with the work?

Any complaints with regard to dissatisfaction of the repairs carried out should be directed to us and will be duly rectified if related to the work authorised/accident related

Are supplied by a private hire company and all details will be given to yourself by them directly.

Who do I pay the excess to?

How can I pay?

Payments can be made by either cash, credit or debit card.  Cheques are not acceptable unless by prior arrangement.

What does it mean if I am VAT registered and have to pay the VAT?

Customers who are VAT registered are liable to pay the VAT content of any insurance claim.  This can, of course, be reclaimed in the normal way.
